A BEN news team boosted brave Charlotte Russell's bid to raise money for children's bone marrow transplants - in fancy dress.
Reporters and photographers, armed with collection tins, donned a variety of costumes and headed for town centre pubs to ask drinkers for donations to swell the brave schoolgirl's campaign for cash.
Charlotte has raised more than £7,000 even though she is still recovering from her transplant operation.
Some miserable pubs refused to let our team into their establishments, despite organisers brandishing official badges and a licence from Bolton Council.
But most drinkers were happy to oblige our team, which was dressed in a variety of costumes, including two male reporters imitating the BEN's Floggit for Free characters Freda and Flo.
Charlotte, receiving a cheque for £184, said: "I'm getting better and I thank the BEN team for all their help."
