THE two-day Horwich Carnival is set to be a fun-packed spectacular.
Attractions at the event on the weekend of June 27 and 28 include a family pet show, baby show, pony rides, tug-of-war, a display of sword swallowing and fire eating and a fun fair.
The programme is available from newsagents in the town, Horwich Resource Centre or members of the carnival committee.
All proceeds go to this year's carnival charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
The BEN-sponsored grand quiz night will be held on June 11 (8.30pm), in the Ex-servicemen's Club, Emmett Street, Horwich.
It is open to teams of up to six people and the entry fee is £1 per person.
There will be individual trophies and a shield for the winners and trophies for the runners-up.
Carnival organisers have rescheduled the Dart and Domino competition after it was postponed in favour of screening the Bolton Wanderers v Chelsea match on the last day of the season.
The competition, for the carnival trophies, will now take place on carnival Sunday, June 28 (2pm).
