SIR: I want to say thank you to the very thoughtful and hard working receptionist our Doctor Woods had. They once phoned to ask how Kurt, my husband, was, because Christies Hospital had phoned them to say Kurt had missed his appointment. We found out later that a letter had got lost.
Kurt has to go to Christies every day for a month, for radium therapy, and in the past the hospital always arranged transport. I panicked when I was told I had to arrange transport through the doctor, and my phone was out of order. I was late phoning, but the receptionist tried her best, and even went into work the next morning early to try and get transport for that day.
The drivers like Debbie are so friendly and look after Kurt very well; it's as if we had been friends for years.
Kurt doesn't have coffee every time he goes, but the kind lady who makes it can even remember he has it black with no sugar. He has met some really nice helpful people.
They are all angels.
Mrs I Fletcher,
Beach Street, Bolton.
