'LAUGHING SUNSHINE'
In this patriotic song, with its appropriate and homely designation, we have a happy combination of the muse and the lyre to celebrate auspicious occasions in our own and neighbouring town, for which preparations are in progress on a scale which displays a generosity equalled only by the loyalty of the people of these two ancient boroughs. We are much pleased with the poetry and music of this well-timed song, and we think melody and metre have happily united to help each other; and we doubt not that those who will hear it at Bolton and at Wigan at the unprecedented rejoicings, will find their hearts grow warmer and their loyalty more ardent when they hear the strains of 'Laughing Sunshine'.
