SIR: May I, through your column, say that the walls at the back of Vale Street, Horwich, look very much safer than they are along this walkway.
This is a public walkway. It has several bricks missing from the top. There's a big gap outside my house. The Council has been at least 12 times to measure it. There are no lights at all.
MP Brian Iddon had a safety tape put round it a while back, but this was ripped up after two days. Unless a child is injured or killed, it will stay like this. It's a dividing wall.
Most of us are pensioners in this block of six flats.
