AN amazing 14,000 drivers were caught speeding on the roads of Greater Manchester during a recent police crackdown.
A total of 11,000 of the drivers are being prosecuted and 3,000 were warned by the police.
The BEN revealed last night that 1,442 drivers alone were stopped speeding on the roads throughout Bolton.
Insp Brian Ritson, GMP's Road Safety Officer said: "It is regrettable that self discipline is so lacking in motorists."
He warned that police efforts to detect speeders on the roads of Greater Manchester will continue.
