MISSED Wednesday's episode of Corrie and need to see the scene that gripped the nation? Feel an urge to tell the world about the continuity error you spotted in last week's EastEnders? Find yourself agonising over Sally and Kevin's tug of love? Don't worry! You've got Soap Fever.
Granada Television in Manchester has been commissioned by ITV2 to make Soap Fever. The show is a celebratory look at all things soap, presented by TV's golden girl, Liza Tarbuck, herself a self-confessed soap-aholic. The show is a live, one-hour support group for the millions of Britain's registered soap addicts! It will be on your screens on ITV2 every week from December, 1998 onwards.
In front of a studio audience of soap-addicts and some very special celebrity guests, the show will be a lively mix of lively chat, as well as preview and review packages of the nation's best loved soaps. Plus archive packages such as 'Bet Lynch's Earrings: a history'. We will also be doing special one-off tributes to some of soaps greatest icons: Annie Walker, Den and Angie, Elsie Tanner and Sheila Grant.
The show's producer is looking for soap addicts to take part in this TV venture. Soap Fever's audience won't just be watching the programme being made, they'll be part of it!
If you can't live without your weekly fix of Emmerdale, EastEnders or Brookside, or you think you're the REAL Deidre Rashid, then you need to call the 'Soap Fever' office at Granada Television on 0161 827 2560.
