DESPITE never having done anything to the detriment of the Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital charity or its officers, my 1998 donation was returned on the grounds that I had, and I was told, in effect. I was a pariah. I don't like this treatment and neither do all the others who suffered the same.
I tried to find the location of the Geoffrey Kershaw Centre where the AGM of the Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital is to he held at 7.30pm on Thursday evening October 29. After half an hour's touring the terraced streets, I finally found it -- an old school buildng at the very bottom of Cedar Street, off Parsonage Street, Bury. It is in an area where street parking is very short, and I recommend people to arrive by Deal Street, off Wash Lane (opposite the Turf pub), and to come early enough to find a place in the car park on Cedar Street. The Centre is opposite the end of Deal Street.
