Wanderers will face a determined Wimbledon when they put their Wembley hopes on the line at the Reebok on Nov 10. The Worthington Cup 4th round draw has paired the clubs for the third time in three seasons and Joe Kinnear wasn't offering any crumbs of comforty.
While his fellow Premiership managers have shown apathy for the competition by fielding weakened teams, the Dons boss said: "I rate the Worthington Cup as our best chance of cup success, reaching Wembley and making a bid for Europe."
The tie offers Reebok record signing Dean Holdsworth a chance of a cup duel with his former club - an opportunity he missed last season, shortly after his £3.5 million transfer, when he was ineligble for the third round tie, which Wanderers won 2-0.
