AFTER all the FA Cup hype, Leigh RMI come back down to earth tonight with a second round Challenge Cup tie against Burscough at Hilton Park. Fulham and the national exposure that goes with it is put on the back burner, while tonight's prestigious competition and Saturday's home league game against Emley, take centre stage.

"It will be difficult to focus on tonight, but I don't want anything to cloud this week's issues, the build-up for the Fulham game will start next week," said manager Steve Waywell.

"We have to concentrate on tonight's match, it is a top competition and the players should use it to put themselves in the frame for the glamour of the visit to Craven Cottage."

One player who has certainly done his chances of an FA Cup place no harm is 16-year-old full back Gary Prescott. He came into the side at Droylsden on Saturday and played his part in the victory that put RMI into the FA Cup first round, when regular right back Stuart Locke was moved into the centre of defence to partner Graham Hill. Waywell has doubts over three players who were injured at the Butchers Arms. Dave Ridings (back), Ian Monk (concussion) and Anthony Whealing (shin), but given the present circumstances, all are expected to play.

Burscough are in the top half of the Unibond Division One and ran Conference side Telford close on Saturday, before going down 2-1 in the FA Cup.

Official ticket and travel information for the Fulham game which is now being played on Friday, November 13, can be obtained from Hilton Park on 01942 743743.
