BOLTON is looking to clean up its act with a Fuel Economy and Air Quality Seminar for local transport companies and fleet operators.
The event will be held at the BITE Centre at Bolton Institute on Thursday, November 26, from 4pm to 7pm.
Key speaker will be Dr Keith Holmes, Head of the Automobile Engineering and Transport Group at the Institute.
Formerly Head of Vehicle Technology for Leyland-DAF Trucks, Dr Holmes has advised the Department of the Environment on fuel economy in commercial transport and has worked with the US Department of Energy.
He will be presenting practical techniques to improve fuel usage in commercial transport and fleet operations.
The seminar has been organised by the Bolton Environmental Technology Initiative with the support of Bolton Environment Forum and the Energy Efficiency Office for the region.
