COLIN Todd went on the attack today as Wanderers set their sights on a surge back up the table.
The Bolton boss saw his side end a run of five games without a win with a stylish and comfortable 3-1 victory over Port Vale at the Reebok and pledged to continue with his forward thinking approach.
Brushing aside concerns over defensive frailities that have cost valuable points this season and contributed to a couple of sloppy moments in last night's win, he insisted: "We will continue to play football in the manner which we know creates scoring chances.
"Not many teams are capable of playing football in the manner in which we do but nobody seems to give us the credit we deserve. That won't stop us playing in the same way, though.
"We've always played in a positive manner and that was how we played last night. The finishing was of the highest order and we created a number of other chances. It could have been five or six.
"Overall, we would have been delighted with a clean sheet but that shouldn't take anything away from what we are good at and that is playing quality football.
"Sunderland have found it difficult to keep clean sheets too."
Wanderers, who moved up three places to ninth in the table, will face a determined QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Gerry Francis' side lifted themselves off the foot of the table when they ended a run of five straight defeats with a 2-1 home win against Barnsley last night.
