THE BEN's Living World writer Ron Freethy will be in Bolton town centre on Saturday to do a bit of privy counselling.
For as well as signing copies of his new book "Lancashire Privies" at Sweetens Bookshop in Deansgate, he will be trying to get Bolton people to solve the mystery of the woman featured in the back cover of the book.
Hidden
The old sepia photo was taken looking through the doorway into an old Lancashire privy (outdoor loo to the uninitiated).
But the face is hidden by a straw hat as she sits on the draughty throne with her lace bloomers round her ankles.
Ron's query is: "Does anyone know who she was, or whether the picture was genuine or a photo stunt?"
Anyone with the answer can meet Ron on Saturday from 2pm or ring Sandra Heilberg at Sweetens on 01204 528457.
