IT'S good news for the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig called Del Boy that Bolton Council has ruled he is not smelly and anti-social, and can remain at his Tonge Moor home.
Officials were called in after neighbours made allegations about the noise and stench. But, the environment health experts found nothing wrong with Del Boy living at the house.
His owner says her pet is cleaner than a dog, has his own toilet and is a much-loved family pet.
While Del Boy may well be squeaky clean, it is important for all Bolton residents to know that this decision does not give the all-clear for any kind of pet to be kept domestically.
We look forward to seeing the guidelines to be devised by the Bolton Council Tenants' Working Party, which will set out which animals are suitable for the home -- and which are definitely not.
