A LUXURY hotel inside The Reebok Stadium has been given the go-ahead by Bolton's planning councillors.
They have approved an application for a 120-bedroomed development in the south stand at the away supporters' car park end of the ground.
Bolton Wanderers had been given approval earlier this year for a 95-bedroom development.
But planning control sub committee councillors yesterday decided that they had no objections to a larger development.
The club has been in talks with hotel operators who are interested in the scheme.
And it was revealed at yesterday's town hall meeting that the club wants it to be a five-star hotel which would be one of the most upmarket in the region.
The club is planning to use 50 of the car parking spaces in the away supporters' car park for hotel guests.
But councillors were told club officials were confident that it would not result in a shortage of spaces for soccer fans.
