I THOUGHT I had heard everything when I heard that my two nephews -- hard working young men -- have each been fined £20 for parking their cars without lights on Georges Lane while they were watching the Wanderers at the Reebok.
Tickets for parking without lights on Georges Lane -- I ask you!
With one half of the town terrorised by yobs putting fireworks in telephone boxes, in addition to the 'ordinary' villains, I would have thought the police had better things to do than antagonise law-abiding citizens with this sort of trivia. And, if they had to go up Georges Lane, wouldn't a warning note on the cars have sufficed?
