HORWICH mum Susan Foulkes, together with her two children, Scott, nine, and Lauren, six, is leading a campaign in support of terminally ill children at Derian House.
And the fundraising drive all began when they claim the top prize in another fundraising effort.
For Susan, of Heather Close, and her family won a giant 5ft teddy bear at a Teddy Bear's picnic fun day in aid of the Chorley children's hospice.
Instead of handing over the furry animal to her two children, Susan decided to use the toy to kick-start her own fundraising efforts for the hospice.
The mum of two is now busy organising a massive raffle, and her bosses at Business Express have agreed to fund the printing of raffle tickets and posters for display at depots across the country,
Shift manager Susan is hopeful of raising several hundred pounds to help Derian House meet its massive £800,000 per year running costs.
She said: "We could easily have adopted the teddy bear as a loveable toy, but my children agreed the sick youngsters being cared for at Derian House had a greater need."
The draw is due to take place at Derian House on Saturday, December 12. Anyone wishing to buy tickets should contact Susan on 01204 699047.
