THE Rev. Henry Brown, a Staffordshire clergyman, was married on Tuesday to the daughter of the Rev T. Codd, vicar of Tackbrook. As the bride and bridegroom were leaving Mr Codd's residence, in Leamington, the customary old shoes and a quantity of rice were thrown at them, some hitting the horse, which bolted. The driver was thrown off the box, and the carriage passed over him, subsequently coming into collision with a cab, which was smashed to pieces. The bridegroom was pitched out of the window, and sustained a scalp wound several inches long. He lies in a precarious state. The bride was much frightened, but has recovered from the shock.
