WANDERERS' players have been praised for their quick reaction and concern when Tranmere striker David Kelly was knocked out in the heat of Saturday's Prenton Park action. The Rovers man was quickly surrounded by yellow-shirted Bolton defenders as he lay motionless after an accidental but full-blooded collision with Claus Jensen.
Kelly was able to carry on after a spell of treatment but Tranmere club doctor, Mike Azurdia, who checked him out on the pitch before play resumed said: "He was probably out for a moment but he denies being knocked out and our physio says he wasn't.
"But the players must be complimented for putting him in the recovery position."
