JAZZ and big band enthusiasts should make a date in their diaries for Friday, May 14, next year.
Veteran drummer Eric Delaney will be joined by Crissy Lee and her all female orchestra for his 75th birthday concert at the Horwich RMI Club.
This will be the first time Crissy, also a drummer, and her 16-piece orchestra will have played with Eric Delaney.
Crissy joined the famous Ivy Benson all-girl band at the age of 18.
The Crissy Lee Orchestra was formed about 10 years ago and is the only female orchestra in Britain and in Europe.
Ken Chaisty, who is organising the event, has staged four sell-out Eric Delaney concerts in Horwich. One of them was the drummer's 70th birthday concert which was a huge success. Surprises are promised for next May's concert. Ticket details will be given in the New Year.
