BOLTON company Joseph Young and Sons has completed two of these telescopic fire-fighting masts for export to India.
They make it possible for off-shore fire-fighting vessels to project water over 120 metres.
Two stainless steel telescopic masts are fitted to one vessel.
The design, in conjunction with Counterfire Ltd, means that water is directed to the source of the fire from the optimium height, angle and jet force.
Young Hydraulics have recently moved to new premises in St Mark's Street, Bolton from Turton Street.
The company had manufactured and repaired hydraulic equipment there since 1945.
Managing Director Nick Taylor said: "Whilst repair and regular contracts are a main part of our business, large one-off projects are necessary in today's trading conditions and they are an interesting challenge to everyone in the company."
