LOCAL band Flood are included on a new CD set for release next year. In the past, bands featured have gone onto to launch successful recording careers. In keeping with the government's recent pledge to support young musicians, Resolution Records, the college based independent record label in Warrington, has confirmed that it's about to produce its sixth annual CD in March next year. It features six of the finest unsigned bands in the north west including Agent Cooper, Chevron, Feel, Flood, Thinner and Twister.
The bands singed for this project will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous Resolution successes, including Northern Uproar who signed a three album deal with Heavenly and have had three top 20 singles to date. Other successes include The Jetsons who have played on the Radio 1 roadshow and provoked keen interest from Revolver Records and BMG and, most recently, Dog Tomas have secured a development deal with East West Records.
The release is being co-ordinated by third year students from University College Warrington (a faculty of the University of Manchester) as part of their third year study for a degree in Media Studies and Business Management.
