WITH reference to Peter Johnson's letter December 9. We in the Labour Party have a duty to keep our elected representatives feet firmly on the ground. Therefore if Peter's challenge to Christine Adams, to stand against him in the elections in 2002, is to mean anything then can I make this suggestion? Let Christine stand as the Labour candidate and Peter as the Conservative candidate and let us see who would win. Better still and more realistic why not both stand as Independents? Now that would be interesting!
