Spare a thought As we celebrate this Christmas time
With fine fayre a plenty
Spare a thought for all of those,
Whose tummies will be empty.
They don't ask for presents
Or things so fine and grand,
All they ask is a decent meal
And a friendly helping hand.
Christmas is for all mankind
To care and share with others,
With mums and dads and sisters
And even with your brothers.
So as around your table you sit
With fine fayre a plenty,
Just spare a thought this Christmas time
For those whose tummies are empty.
With your presents and your crackers
And your glass of sweet white wine,
DON'T FORGET the hungry
As you celebrate Christmas time. By Dawn Couperthwaite.
