SHEFFIELD Wednesday boss Danny Wilson today refused to give Jon Newsome to Bolton Wanderers for another month. Wanderers want the towering 28-year-old back in their defence after he impressed during a five-match loan spell which ended last Saturday.

Managers Colin Todd and Danny Wilson have held talks aimed at turning the recent loan arrangement into something permanent.

But their valuations of the player remain too far apart and a compromise price will have to be worked out if the player is to complete a deal .

Wanderers' hope of retaining Newsome's services for a second month on loan also looks bleak with Wilson insisting the next deal will either see the player stay or leave Hillsborough.

"Bolton have asked for another month's loan but we have not agreed to that unless there is something permanent at the end of it," said the Wednesday boss.

"We are talking and the situation is ongoing. In the meantime Jon Newsome is back training with us until something is sorted out." Drivers going on to car park A at the Reebok for the Boxing Day match with Bradford City will be asked to show their match tickets before being allowed to park.

The match is all ticket for Bradford fans and those without tickets will not even be allowed to leave their vehicles on the visitors' parking area.
