A PUB landlord was dragged along the ground as he clung onto a car after he disturbed thieves stealing booze.
The pub boss discovered two men loading up their Ford Sierra with crates of beer they had stolen from an out-building at the rear of the Rose and Crown, Bury Road, Edgworth.
As they drove off the brave landlord jumped into the back seat, but lost his footing and grabbed the bottom of the door.
He held on for about 10ft before he lost his grip. He suffered cuts and bruises but was not badly hurt.
The men escaped with more than £300 of alcohol.
The driver was white, 5ft 8, late 20s, slim, with dark curly hair and a moustache.
Anyone with information about the incident at 9.30pm should call Blackburn CID on 01254 51212.
