ALL we want for Christmas are six points. That's the battle cry from Wanderers as they go into the crucial holiday programme looking to build on a run of five games unbeaten.

They face a home clash with third placed Bradford City on Saturday followed by a visit to Port Vale 48 hours later.

And Colin Todd is boosted by the rare luxury of a squad which is free of injury and suspension.

The one sour note is Wanderers' inability to retain the services of Sheffield Wednesday centre half Jon Newsome whose arrival on a month's loan coincided with Wanderers' recent revival.

Todd drafted in Newsome after a run of one win in 10 games and their fortunes changed immediately with three victories and two draws. Todd has been unable to strike either a permanent or a second loan deal with his Wednesday counterpart Danny Wilson and that will open the door for Mark Fish to return to the heart of the defence alongside on-loan Paul Warhurst against Bradford.

Wanderers will face a Yorkshire side full of confidence after three straight victories, including two away.

But they will be weakened by a one-match suspension to 14-goal top scorer Lee Mills who will be replaced by either Isaiah Rankin or Gordon Watson.
