ARNAR Gunnlaugsson is looking for Wanderers to re-establish themselves in the Premiership in 1999. That's the Icelandic striker's New Year's resolution as he embarks on a mission to clinch promotion.

"I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, when hopefully we can win our way back into the Premiership."

Gunnlaugsson, is Wanderers' top scorer with 14 goals but readily acknowledged that his form of late has dipped a little.

"I've not been training properly and my form has not been as consistent as it should be.

"I've been able to create chances and get into positions where I should have scored but I've not been able to finish things off.

"It's a concern but in the end it's just a matter of keeping a belief in myself and I'm sure things will work out." Gunnlaugsson has also been the subject of on-going speculation that has suggested his immediate future may lie away from the Reebok .

There is also the matter of an extension to his current contract which is waiting to be signed.

"I've not taken any of the rumours seriously and I haven't heard anything myself.

"As far as I am concerned my future is here at Bolton. I still have 18 months on my contract and I don't think there is any rush to sign.

"Everybody else seems to be bothered by it but it's not on my mind at all."
