New Year's Coming Another New Year is about to dawn,
The old one is leaving with a yawn.
New Year Nineteen Ninety Nine,
Maybe next summer will be fine.
What will the year hold we can only wait,
There's nothing we can do it's all down to fate.
What will happen, nobody knows,
Maybe we'll be friendly to all our foes.
Dare we hope that all crime will stop,
Or the drunken drivers will start drinking pop.
Would it be asking too much to have no more theft,
Or is that all there is, is that all that's left.
For the New Year I hope for one thing,
That everyone will have reason to sing.
For a miracle out of the blue,
Just for everyone to be honest and true. By Linda Robinson
