THE manager of a Farnworth motor parts shop was left tied up for more than 30 minutes after being attacked by thieves.
The 28-year-old man was trussed-up after being bundled into a rear room at Motor World, inside Kwiksave, Longcauseway.
The thieves then stole a substantial amount of money after ransacking their way through the premises.
As revealed in later editions of the BEN last night, the manager of the store was attacked by three men at 8.50am yesterday as he was opening for business.
The manager phoned the police himself after he was discovered more than half an hour later as other employees arrived for work.
He was taken to hospital suffering from shock but was later allowed home after treatment.
A spokesman for Motor World said he was badly shocked by his ordeal but otherwise uninjured. Detectives say the raid appeared to have been "well planned" and was carried out within minutes.
Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen the men in the area before or after the robbery.
One of the thieves is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall with curly mousey hair, wearing a black suit with white stripes down the arms. The other two men are black. One was wearing an earring.
