BOLTON WANDERERS GIRLS 1
CHORLEY LADIES 7 CHORLEY Ladies put on another impressive display away to Bolton to consolidate their position in second place of division one.
This takes their goal tally to 16 in the last two games to keep the pressure on the leaders Mond Rangers.
Chorley were the first to adapt to the tricky conditions and Sharon Schofield broke the deadlock when a mix up in defence led to an opening and she bundled the ball into the back of the net.
Schofield was finding plenty of gaps in the Bolton defence and made it 3-0 on 27 minutes when Rigby and Spencer linked up well in midfield with some smart interchanging play.
Not only was this Scofield's fourth hat-trick of the season, and her second in successive games, but she also went on to score a fourth when namesake Jo Schofield ran to the bye-line and cut the ball back to the penalty spot for the talented striker to hit a curling shot past Browne.
A fifth goal just before the interval ended a miserable half for Bolton when Kerry Hibbert aimed a powerful 30 yard free kick at goal which was deflected into the net by a defender for an own goal.
Bolton started to put up a spirited come back and got their reward with a goal scored by Liz Baird who picked up on a clever looping pass over the Chorley defence and knocked the ball firmly past Tracey Kenyon.
The pitch then started to take its toll and both managers brought on subs.
Chorley's Janet Gilder and Elaine Thomas made an immediate impact and the visitor's scored a seventh after 72 minutes when the offside trap was again beaten, this time by Natalie Parry, who spotted Browne off her line and hit a delicate chip for Chorley's final goal.
Chorley now enjoy a seasonal rest before they play their next game at Wrexham early in the New Year.
