research IN LONDON, (Oct 26) the N.P.W.A. allowed Professor Dr A K Susheela, Director of Fluoride and Fluorosis Research Foundation and a Senior Govt Consultant (India) to state her findings from 25 years fluoride research:-

Fluoride causes Dental fluorosis, Skeletal and non-Skeletal conditions. Fluoride ingestion affects red blood cells causing anaemia: causes calcium levels to drop: dental caries remain despite adding any amount of fluoride to water. It causes irritable bowel (IBS)and blood fluoride levels rise with prolonged use of fluoride toothpaste. Drinking fluoride contaminated water and using fluo toothpaste, mouth rinses, etc. causes degenerative changes and early loss of teeth.

In 1933, Dr Albert Schatz (discoverer of streptomycin) saw how artificial fluoride crippled some children, and some first year babies died. His findings on stillbirths, miscarriages and genetic damage from fluo were similar to hers.

The above was addressed to Ms Tessa Jowell MP, Minister of Health, (with three advisers) who asked: "Why haven't we seen these health problems in our fluoridated areas?" Dr Susheela replied: "You don't even have a Government laboratory to test fluoride levels in blood and urine. If you don't look for the problems, how do you hope to find them?"
