I am a dog owner, and I fully endorse the council's actions regarding dog owners who allow their dogs to foul the pavements and other public areas.

However, I feel I must comment on a fact which your article fails to mention. I take my two dogs, to two popular parks - Leverhulme and Rivington.

I have yet to see any special dog pooper scoop, waste bins, and I am sure if I went to the many parks, and public areas, in Bolton, I very much doubt I would find any special bins.

Although I do not condone dog fouling just because there are no bins, I'm sure that these bins could help, in the fight to convert the irresponsible ones.
