In my dreams The very first time she came into my sight

My eyes could not believe

She was a picture of wondrous beauty

My heart strings began to weave

She was so smooth, so soft, and so refined

In fact, she was perfect in every way

I tried to converse, to convey my love

But I just didn't know what to say

I had an urge to turn and walk away

But it was impossible to do

She was everything a man could wish for

She was a fantasy come true

So I took a few steps towards her

My heart was beating like the proverbial drum

It was only then that I contemplated

Her extortionate, princely sum

I still dream of her presence every single night

And wake in the mornings feeling down

Maybe one of these days I'll win the Lottery

And drive that metallic red Ferrari round town By D P Crompton
