ONE of the region's leading charities is looking for people with a spirit of adventure to boost its coffers.
The Children's Hospitals Appeal Trust - CHAT - is set to travel to Kenya and the Sinai Desert to raise funds.
Appeal organisers are looking to organise two international challenges. The first of these The Kenyan Corkscrew will run from September 11-19.
This event gives participants a rare opportunity to climb Mount Kenya, trekking along winding routes to one of its summits and experiencing the spectacular scenery and a huge range of plants and wildlife.
The Millennium Odyssey from March 6-14 in the year 2000 is a bike ride linking the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba via the Sinai Desert.
The trip will include a visit to the ancient pyramids and a climb up Mount Sinai.
Both events will give those taking part the chance to experience the adventure of a lifetime while raising funds for a worthy cause.
CHAT is the only regional charity taking on such events which will raise thousands of pounds for the latest appeals.
The charity generates funds for the provision of medical equipment and provides help to all children's hospitals and paediatric services throughout Greater Manchester, which in turn serve large areas of the North West.
