THE winter beer festival season is now in full swing.
And the traditional Atherton Bent and Bongs festival is due to take place at the end of this month.
The 10th Bent and Bongs festival will be held in the Formby Hall in High Street from January 28-30.
More than 60 real ales and ciders and at least 20 winter ales are due to be on offer.
And the event, jointly organised by the Campaign For Real Ale and Atherton and Tyldesley Round Table, will help raise cash for local charities.
A special feature this year is ales from the West Midlands and Shropshire.
More details of the festival are available from Brian Gleave on 01942 840658.
