Nothing touches the heart like a love song,
Tugs the strings when dreams grow old.
Old songs, love songs will never fade away,
Each one tells a story, whatever time of day.
A lingering sadness fills the air, you didn't wait,
Silence stills the fading hours, tomorrow was too late.
Love songs leads the way as I reminisce of times long passed,
And hold within my heart a keepsake, an old photograph.
Old fashioned yet so wonderful, a song is nothing till it's heard,
Life is touched by memories, moments we have shared.
Love songs, romances, tears and treasure of the past,
Are locked within my heart, a dream forever will last.
Though you are gone, my thoughts linger on,
Still echoing my song of long ago. By I Hamer
