EVEN 60 years since leaving Bolton, I still, after all these years, remember the wonderful times I had visiting the Palladium Picture House, The Rialto, at the corner of St George's Road, The Palais de Dance, the little butcher's shop across the road, Catholic schoolchildren marching along the roads. What wonderful sights. The "Mount" and the one corner of Waterloo Street, also the small temperance bar where we used to have pop before going in the pictures. Sometimes we received a comic when entering the pictures.
At the Palladium was King Kong which I saw six times. Happy memories which can never be forgotten. Saturday afternoon pictures was one penny (old money), evenings around four old pence etc.
