Octagon RACHEL Bartholomew is the Octagon Theatre's new Press and Marketing Officer. After graduating from Warwick University in 1990, Rachel, who is from the North-west, toured the UK with a children's theatre group before settling in London for six years.

She worked in several London theatres including the Garrick, Her Majesty's and the Playhouse when it was owned by Ray Cooney.

She spent her last two years in London at the Almeida Theatre in Islington, where Ralph Fiennes' Hamlet and Alan Rickman's The Winter Guest were produced.

After leaving London, Rachel travelled for six months in Australia before coming back to the North West. She spent l998 at the Dancehouse Theatre, Manchester.

Rachel's family live in Wigan.
