THE ADVICE from fire victims Dorothy and Ian Roddie is sound. They are urging Bolton people to fit smoke alarms in their homes and check their batteries on the same day every year.
The couple know what they are talking about after being trapped by flames in the bedroom of their home. They were lucky to escape. Other people may not be so fortunate.
