Every year thousands of people suffer from lung disease, often through no fault of their own.
That is why I am urging you to go on the British Lung Foundation's challenge of a lifetime, Journey to the Promised Land.
Adventurous people are needed to cycle across the wild landscape of Jordan to raise money for research into this hidden killer. It gives you the chance to spend a week travelling through the historic land of Jordan, covering 350km of stunning desert country. You don't need to be super-fit, but you must have a sense of fun and adventure to meet the physical and mental challenges of the ride. It takes place in April, and is open to people over 18. You will need to pay an entry fee of £195 and raise a minimum sponsorship of £2,000.
