A BOLTON nursing home has been put into the hands of receivers. Newlands Nursing home, on Chorley New Road, which is owned by Rochefort Healthcare (Newlands) Limited, is being run by Rothman Pantall and Company, administrative receivers.
Mr David Lea, secretary to the Board of Wigan and Bolton Health Authority, which is responsible for the registration of nursing homes, said the home would be run as a going concern.
"Although the home has been put into the hands of the receivers we understand they intend to run as a going concern with a view to ultimately selling it to new owners.
"If they are going to run it they will be responsible for the management and proper staffing of the home.
"Although a locum home owner they will be required to run it within statutory requirements."
The BEN attempted to contact the home owners, via Newlands this morning, but a member of staff refused to give any details.
