A TEENAGE girl was hit in the face with a glass tumbler after a birthday celebration at a Bolton nightspot ended in violence.
The 15-year-old girl suffered injuries to her chin when she was hit with the glass during a brawl inside Bergerac's wine bar, Mawdsley Street.
Today detectives were hunting an older girl believed to be responsible for the attack in the wine bar shortly before 10pm on Friday.
The victim was with a group of younger girls who were celebrating a birthday in the nightspot.
Police say the brawl started after a drink was knocked over.
The injured girl was treated at the scene by nightclub staff before being taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. She was later released after treatment.
Detectives have released a description of a girl they are looking for in connection with the attack. She is of oriental appearance - either Chinese or Malaysian - aged about 17, 5ft 6ins tall with black, long, straight hair with a centre parting. She was wearing blue or purple clothing.
The attacker suffered a nasty cut to her hand in the incident but refused hospital treatment.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Bolton Central CID or Crimestoppers on the free phone number 0800 555 111.
