FIRST and foremost will Mr Jefferson, Environment Director, please, please listen to the people that matter in the "Super estate saga", and they are the PEOPLE of Westhoughton.
Westhoughton people are sick to the back teeth of seeing more and more lush green areas turning into more and more building sites.
Westhoughton people are also sick to the back teeth of trying to drive in a car without getting into a queue as they travel on our blocked up roads. There's a daily morning ritual of bumper to bumper travel from Hindley Road Post Office to Chequebent Island. It is made 10 times more horrendous since our new "Island from hell", on the end of our village.
We need a caring officer in this matter - someone who cares for the environment, its people, how we live. We do not want to not suffer at the hands of greedy people who don't give a fig about us or our lovely surrounding, green areas.
Neil Butterfield has asked the question "What would the people like to see on Lee Hall," and with one voice we will all shout our answer "Hedges, butterflies, heron, ponies, sheep, slylark and newt," just somewhere to enjoy in peace and quiet.
