THE BEN is proud to be a partner in the Millennium Challenge to beat the dole.
As we reported yesterday, this newspaper has joined forces with four other agencies to offer the unique Job A Day initiative to find at least 365 jobs until the year 2000.
The BEN has a duty not only to bring you all the news of the day, but to provide a service. And by helping to put people and jobs together, we feel we are helping to fulfil that latter objective.
Being unemployed is not only about having too little money and too much time. It is also to do with having pride in oneself and contributing something to society.
We believe that businesses will want to join in this scheme which is helping to supply people with a fundamental need - the right to work.
