A LARGER than life bar owner is hoping everyone has a 'Yaba Daba Do' time before they head to Bolton's newest nightclub. Willy Richards who became a well known figure when he opened The Jungle in Bolton town centre, is now opening the Bedrock Club Cafe on the doorstep of the Atlantis club in Astley Bridge.
The bar, which takes its inspiration from the Flintstones, opens next Thursday.
And promotional staff have been handing out invitations - written on pieces of SLATE!
And Willy is keen to re-create the atmosphere of the old Jungle.
He said: "Everyone had a great laugh down there and I'd love to get back to that.
"There were some great characters. One was 'Big John' from Westhoughton who talked about his mum being half Cherokee. I'd love those type of lads to come and meet up again."
Bedrock has three bars, two floors, two DJs, and an eating area.
There is also a stage for regular live acts. On the opening night a Tom Jones tribute is appearing.
Willy said: "We're calling him Tom Bones. I think he'll be singing 'What's New, Sabre Toothed Tiger!"
The bar will open six nights a week, from 10pm-2am, with free admission before 11pm. Door policy is over 21s, jeans accepted, but no trainers.
Bedrock can be contacted on Bolton 52525.
