A GOVERNMENT watchdog has praised Bolton Social Services for its care of the town's over 75s. The praise follows a review looking in-depth at Bolton's facilities.
The report, due to go before Bolton's Social Services Committee on Wednesday, says: "The work done in Bolton compares favourably with that done elsewhere and there is much good practice evident in Bolton."
Cllr Cliff Morris, social services committee chairman, said: "We are very pleased with the conclusions of the report which recognises and reflects the extremely valuable work done by staff and the close liasion among the various organisations."
