By BEN Reporter SCHOOL inspectors have praised standards at a Radcliffe primary school. An Ofsted team reported that Radcliffe Hall Church of England and Methodist Primary School provides "a safe, secure and caring environment, promotes positive attitudes to work and commitment to high standards, has clear leadership and direction, provides a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum". Reporting Inspector Eileen Watson, in her findings, said that at both Key Stage one and two pupils' attainment in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science are all in line with those expected for youngsters of that age.
She added: "The good behaviour exhibited by the great majority of children is sustained by the close relationships that exist throughout the school. Relationships with parents are also good. The school has been particularly successful in attracting parent helpers into infant classes.
The quality of teaching was described as "good overall" with almost nine out of ten lessons judged to be "satisfactory or better."
The Inspector continued: "It provides a safe, caring environment that produces positive attitudes to work and the development of high standards. This reflects the stated aims of the school as set out in the prospectus."
