YOUNG people from Bolton and Leigh are among a group of youngsters challenging big business. They are among 150 people aged 10 to 25 who took part in the Manchester Young Persons Forum in Granada's Starlight Theatre yesterday.
The meeting was one of three being held in Britain to try to change perceptions of business, raise standards of business practice and attract talented people to pursue a career in business. Business people from the region's top businesses were on hand to debate subjects with forum participants.
The youngsters also had a chance to compete for a place on the Young People's Council and have a chance to have their opinions listened to at the Institute of Directors' annual convention in the Royal Albert Hall in April.
