IF you live in Adlington and have strong feelings about crime in your area, Chorley Council is inviting you to a public meeting. A consultation document called "making our communities even safer" has been circulated outlining the possible priorities to be tackled over the next three years.

The borough's community safety steering group is particularly concerned about problems with young people, high crime areas, drug and alcohol misuse, personal safety, vehicle crime, road safety and community development.

Cllr Bob Crabtree, of Chorley Council, said: "People who live and work in our area are the best placed to identify the problems that face them and others."

The meeting is on February 25, starting at 6.30 pm, and will be held in the Junior Hall at St Paul's CE School, Adlington.
